Friends of Page Park

South Gloucestershire Council (SGC) are no longer affiliated with 'Walking for Health' so this information has been removed from our website.  SGC now have their own scheme (independent of Walking for Health) which is called 'Walking Well.' 


The Friends of Page Park have been in discussion with SGC to reestablish the regular walks which we know are very were very much missed by our local residents during the lockdown period.


Walking Well

Every Tuesday 11:30am @ the Clock Tower

Every Friday 10:30am @ the Clock Tower

Every 4th Wednesday 2pm @ the Clock Tower

We now have a few of Walking Well walks series that are based in the park.

1. There are weekly shorter gentle walks around the park followed by refreshments and a chat in the Nest community room. 


  • Tuesday at 11:30am
  • Friday at 10:30am


Meet at the Clock Tower.  The walk lasts up to 30 mins and are accessible for people with walking aids.

2. There is a longer walk (about 3 miles) which starts from the park but then goes elsewhere (usually along the cycle path).  This one is monthly on the fourth Wednesday and it starts at 2pm again meeting by the Clock Tower.

General information about Walking Well can be accessed on this link.  All walks are free and led by a group of trained leaders who can help you take the first steps to a more active lifestyle, as well as being a great way to meet new people.

The walks are between 30 and 90 minutes, designed to suit different walking abilities. These walks are designed to accommodate any walker’s needs, allowing people to walk the distance they feel comfortable with.
