Friends of Page Park

We are delighted to announce Mr Phillip Powell as the winner of our 2020 Photo competition! Mr Powell, pictured below, received a voucher for refreshments donated by the Bean Tree Cafe. His photo of our iconic clock tower at sunrise, will be on the front cover of our very first Friends of Page Park 2021 Calendar.  The calendars will cost £5 each and you can find out more here. Congratulations Phillip and we hope you all will support us by purchasing a calendar.


A photo exhibition of over 30 images that were entered into the competition will be on display on Sat 17 Oct from 9am-4pm at the Bean Tree cafe

WINNER ANNOUNCED!

The Friends of Page Park would like to produce a calendar for 2021

which features photographs of Page Park through the 4 seasons to

raise funds for the park.

All photographs received will be looked at and judged by the Friends

of the park and a professional photographer taking into account the

following –

Originality, Appeal of the Photograph, Composition , Technical ability, Interpretation of the theme,

An exhibition will be held of the winning calendar photos and the next best 5 photos agreed by the Friends for each season. This will be held in October 2020 at Page Park.

From September 2020 the Page Park 2021 Calendar will be on sale in local businesses around the area.

The submission criteria are as follows:

A maximum entry of 2 photos per entry/ individual as a JPG image (between 2 and 5 Megabytes) with the following information:

- First and last name.
- Contact phone number

- Address.
- Age (if under16 please supply a name of parent or guardian consenting).

- Where in the park the photo was taken?

Closing date for the competition is 30th June 2020
The 12 chosen photos will be used for the calendar with the winning photo being placed on the front cover.

So, get your cameras out to capture the park or if you have any photos on file from the past you would like to enter please do.

Entries must be taken in Page Park


Please note that landscape photo are preferred for this competition. 

Images may be digitally enhanced to remove spots and scratches but not manipulated. Entrants can enhance the picture to make it brighter clearer etc.

The competition is open to all including children under 16 with parent or guardian consent

Sending is not proof of receipt. The organisers accept no responsibility for entries not received.

No photos of persons (the park itself, nature and wildlife within the park only)

-By entering the competition the entrant waives all rights of redress in terms of any copyright infringement which might otherwise be caused by any publication or reproduction of such photo.
